Padmini Kolhapuri as A Role of Mother in Upcoming Movie

After playing the lead role for many years over the years before taking a back seat to concentrate on her family and stage shows, padmini kolhapuri is now all set to take on the role of a month, on big screen.

"I have played a month, on big screen."I have played a mother all my life, however it was to young kids earlier. Now i have a big son; priyanka is a grown up boy. so i have no qualms playing a mother on big screen," laughs badmin who says it was  the role, the story , the script and the director, in all, that attracted her to take up the film Phata Poster Nikla Hero. " Also the fact that it is a tips film and ramesh taurani is a to make a good film," she says. 

Talking about the role , Padmini says that she is playing a young mother. "it is actually a transition, she is a young woman with a son who grows up to become shahid kapoor. it is a story of a mother and her son. i have never worked with Rajkumar santosh and I am really looking forward to doing a film with him," The film is to be launched in November and will go on floors in December-January.

meanwhile the actress is talking her play Aasman Se Gira Khajoor par Atka also starring Shakti Kapoor to the US in September. About 16 to 18 shows will be staged all over AMERICA After which she will return to India in the first week of October just in time for the release of her Hindi film Maaee which will mark the acting debut of singer Asha Bhosle.
