Tannishtha Chatterjee Preparing go to Bollywood

Actress Tannishtha Chatterjee, who has kept her distance from typical Bollywood potboilers, skin show and the glamorous look, feels the Hindi film industry is not adapting the right elements of western filmmaking. Several actors like Deepika Padukone, Bipasha Basu and Paoli Dam have recently dared to bare in their movies. Asked if she is comfortable with the idea of exposing on screen, Tannishtha told, "I have nothing against pornography. personally. I don't think I want to be a porn star. But anywhere in a literate world in a cultured society, that is an alternative culture existing. Unfortunately, we are embracing the trash of the west and that's very sad."

"I am not saying that pornography does not need to exist. It has its own space, but i think you should make serious stuff for the mainstream, " she added.
However, she is very happy in her own space with projects like British film Brick Lane and Indian film Road, Move and her next, Mangesh Hadawale's Dekh Indian Circus.
"I am very happy here. I think more interesting stuff is happening in this space and in the last two years, we need to question what is commercial because a lot of what we call 'other kind of cinema' is embraced and appreciated by our younger audiences," Tannishtha Said.
" Big examples are Paan Singh Tomar and Vicky Donor none of them is in the clichéd Bollywood space. But people loved them despite the face that there were no big promotions," she added.

  

Aamir Khan's difficult image in Satyamev jayate Program

Amir Khan’s new role as the conscience of the society, courtesy his show, Satyameva Jayate, is being used by some local politicians to promote them .we spotted a hoarding featuring the actor and two local politicians at a bandra junction-Mumbai. Meanwhile, Aamir has found unexpected support from renowned writer, pet and lyricist javed akhtar. The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has demanded an apology from action Aamir Khan for sending a "Wrong message about the medical community in his programme Satyamev Jayate.but lyricist javad Akhtar doesn't approve of it and calls it a sick" decision.
"The Indian Medical association wants Aamir to apologise for exposing corruption in their profession. That is really sick, " Akhtar posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.
After highlighting social issues like female feticide and dowry, Aamir, in the fourth episode of his show, put the spotlight on healthcare and malpractices in the medical profession.
Reacting to the episode, an umbrella body of 21 medical institutions. Wednesday asked the actor to apologies.
"It is not Aamir khan but some immoral dishonest greedy and corrupt doctors who are insulting the medical profession and many honest doctors," wrote Akthar.

Bollywood Director Rohit shetty of singham fame says he is not interested in talking about his hard work. "i have been looked down upon by my colleagues and media and i don't talk about my hard work."
he was speaking during a panel discussion organised by students of subhash ghai's film school whistling woods international in mumbai. The discussion was held during a film festival organised by the studnets to celebrate 100 years of indian cinemas.
director R balki of Paa fame. Amol Gupte, who is known for his work in Taare Zammen par and Ishqzaada dirctor Habib Faisal were the other directors who sat on the panel. The discussion was moderated by film critic Rajeev Masand.
Talking abot his peers. Rohit went on to say how courageous they have been in order to make their films."All three of them are braver then me.  I would never have made my directorial debut with Rishi Kapoor in the lead, " he said referring, to Habib's' film " Do Dooni Chaar".
" I would have also not dealt with a sensitive subject like that of Taare Zameen par or Amitabh Bachchan in the role of Auro, for Paa, "he added known for his Golmaal series and sigham. Rohit is considered as a director who make sequels and remarks by many.
 Defening his colleague, director Habib spoke about the hard work required to make a remake. " The only thing available for a remake is the script. everthing else needs to be done, " he said, another major issue addressed by the panel was the difficultiesd faced by writers today.They were of the opinion that writers were not given the respect they deserved.
"writers are rare commodity today. they don't get the respect which they deserve. we still don't value them."

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has thanked his fans for giving Rowdy Rathore the biggest solo opening of his carrier.

Directed by Prabhu Deva and Co-Produced by sanjay leela Bhansali and Ronnie Screwala, the film marked Akshay's return to a full fledged action role after seven years. the film is Akshay's widest release so far-it opened on 2,800 screens in the country.

Made on a budget of Rs 45 crore, the film released friday and earned Rs.29.8 crore on the first two day. Co-Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ronnie screwvala, the film marked Akshay's return to a full-fledged action role after seven years.
